Crazy Martini's

On my way into work this morning, the radio show mentioned the craziest martini I have ever heard of...
A Grilled Cheese Martini!! Being offered at Beechers in New York City!
Clearly there are a ton of crazy flavored martinis out there such as the popular Cake Batter Martini
 The Pumkin Pie Martini
Or the Peanut Butter & Jelly Martini

What are your thoughts on these crazy martini flavors?

Would you ever try a "comfort food" martini??

Dog Bow Ties

For those of you that know my "son" Duke
You know that he loves to dress up!  Or maybe it's really just me that loves to dress him up, but I SWEAR there have been occasions he has brought me his outfits to put on him!
He has a lifevest for boating
He has been a pumpkin for Halloween
He even has a few t-shirts (only funny ones of course), and a rain jacket!
So when I came across this Etsy shop, SillyBuddy, I knew this was meant to be!

The craziest thing about these two pictures, is that isn't my Duke!  It must be his identical twin brother though for sure!
Isn't he cute as a button?!  SillyBuddy has so many adorable collars to choose from.  I can't decide on which one to get!  Maybe one for every holiday?
I'll have to hide them from PJP though because he's not the biggest fan of his "son" looking adorable!

Stickers as Wallpaper

For the 6 hour drive down to Charleston this past weekend, I clearly picked up a few magazines for the ride.  One of the magazines I got was Elle Decor.  In the August issue, there was an article on a 25 year old, named Payton Turner, who hand-applies stickers to resemble wallpaper.  Here is some of her work

Her work is unbelievable!  She is so talented.  And who would guess that those beautiful designs were out of these stickers?!
I would never have thought to put stickers on the wall as an alternative to wallpaper or stenciling.
I'm sure she's too expenseive to commission for my budget...
Do you think this is doable?  Or leave it to the expert?

We ate dinner and took Oyster Shooters at Pearlz!  A definite must to stop at if you visit!
And we attended a gorgeous wedding on Saturday in Mt. Pleasant!

Bronzed

I have been wanting to try a spray tan for the longest time now, but I have always been so afraid of streaking and turning orange.  A few weeks ago Bronze Ambition was on Groupon.com, so I decided why not try it since I don't have to pay full price?!

So I did!  And I think it is FABULOUS!! I HIGHLY recommend trying it out!  Michelle Markow does an amazing job, and she makes you feel completely comfortable.

Try it out for any occasion, and tell her I sent you!

(**Pictures of the spray tan to come next week!**)

Tomorrow I'm off to the fabulous Charleston, SC for a friends wedding!

Hope y'all have a fantastic weekend!

Gift Wrap

I'm really big on gift presentation.  I think a beautiful card makes a big difference.
My favorite cards are Papyrus, and if you really know me, you understand my obsession.

I'm partial to the glittery ones :)
Seriously, who wouldn't love to receive one of these?!
As for the gift wrap, I love to match the card/envelope to the paper or bag.  Of course Papyrus has fabulous gift wrap and bags!  But here are some other ideas I love

Over the Weekend

I bought this beautiful pin at an Antique Store
Surprised?!  I'm thinking about pinning it on a necklace to give it a little something extra!
I also bought this at Home Goods
Now I just need a candle to go in it, and to replace that light fixture!  Oh, and we finally ordered a new outdoor fan!  The before and after pictures will come soon!  You will see why that was 100% necessary!!
And then I made this
I am definitely ready for fall!!
Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
